Our system features handicap-accessible buses, convenient fixed routes, and flexible demand-response service to ensure every community member has safe, dependable access to daily destinations.

With 3 different routes and over 60 stops, we can get you where you need to go in Hammond, Ponchatoula, and Independence! With just a 50-cent fare, Tangi Transit is an affordable & reliable way to get around town. Handicap-accessible features & ramps are available on every bus.

PICK-UP SERVICES
Whether you need to go to a doctor’s appointment, the grocery store, or even to the senior center, Tangi Transit now offers a scheduled response vehicle to pick you up, right when you need it. To schedule our Demand Response services, give us a call at least 24 hours in advance and is based upon the schedule and availability of a vehicle.  There is NO same-day service offered.  This service is available Monday – Friday 7 am – 5 pm.
