Hammond Northshore Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use, joint civil-military, general aviation airport located three nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Hammond.
About Us
Hammond Northshore Regional Airport in beautiful Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana is the largest general aviation airport on the northern shore of Lake Ponchartrain. It is ideally located off of Interstates 55 and 12, just 55 miles north of New Orleans, 45 miles east of Baton Rouge, and 90 miles west of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. With dual lighted runways measuring 6500×100 and 5001×150, Hammond Northshore Regional Airport is fully equipped to handle large aircraft. The airfield is over 900 acres and is open to general, corporate, and military aircraft. We currently have over 90-based aircraft at our facility with room for 195 single engine, light twin, and corporate aircraft at competitive prices. Also located on the airfield is unimproved land for development by corporate or private aviation individuals. Construction on the new air traffic control tower facility was completed in 2014. The Air Traffic Control Tower operates every day from 8am to 6pm.
